What with the launch of our brand spanking new Rock Candy website we thought it was high time we started a blog too! For those of you not familiar with Rock Candy I will start with a little intro...
Rock Candy opened in January 2011 and has for the past few months been bringing gorgeous vintage and retro clothing and accessories to the good people of London. Our boutique on Holloway Road is small and perfectly formed :-) We hand select every piece, either because it is on trend or just because we love it, so our lovely little shop is full of the best beauties we could find. We also have a bit of a penchant for Rock & Roll! Particularly favouring that of the great British bands of the 60s and 70s, you will always hear some classic tunes on when paying us a visit (at this precise moment I'm rocking out in my seat to Led Zep's Immigrant Song, oh yeah!).
So, after a lovely few months in our north London home we decided to take on the world! Our new website will be bringing you the best vintage available and we ship worldwide. Do get involved, you know you want to!
Combining our love of fabulous vintage clothing and great music, our blog will each week focus on a number 1 song or record from that date in the last 50 years. We will tell you our fave of the number 1's from that date, search out a clip of it for you to enjoy it with us, and take a look at the fashion and styling of the video or artist and recreate the look. FUN!
