Sunday Girl

'Sunday Girl' was a number 1 hit for Blondie for 3 weeks from 26th May 1979. The single came from their fantastic 'Parallel Lines' album, the groups 3rd album although the first to gain them real popularity.

Rare French single cover.

We have a couple of clips for you this week, first off a live performance in 1979, we love Debbie rocking the androgynous look in trouser suit, shirt and tie!

Prior to being the lead singer of Blondie, Debbie Harry was a member of The Stillettos in the early 70s, an all girl group that used to play on the New York circuit. We found a pic of them here with
The New York Dolls at the Bacchus Rock Palace, see Debbie on the left with her pins out!

We love Blondie, specifically the ever stylish Debbie Harry, and so relished the opportunity to look through some images of the wonder woman in action, these were a few of our faves...
